City of Hays Home Sales Rose in March
Total home sales in the City of Hays rose by 5.6% last month to 19 units, compared to 18 units in March 2018. Total sales volume was $3.2 million, up 5.7% from a year earlier.
The median sales price in March was $171,000, up from $157,250 a year earlier. Homes that sold in March were typically on the market for 142 days and sold for 96.7% of their list price.
City of Hays Active Listings Down at End of March
The total number of active listings in the City of Hays at the end of March was 114 units, down from 137 at the same point in 2018. This represents a 5.4 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of March was $164,500.
During March, a total of 27 contracts were written up from 22 in March 2018. At the end of the month, there were 21 contracts pending, compared to 22 at the end of March 2018.
