City of Hays Home Sales Fell in February
Total home sales in the City of Hays fell last month to 6 units, compared to 8 units in February 2018. Total sales volume was $0.8 million, down from a year earlier.
The median sale price in February was $143,500, up from $112,250 a year earlier. Homes that sold in February were typically on the market for 148 days and sold for 96.6% of their list prices.
City of Hays Active Listings Down at End of February
The total number of active listings in the City of Hays at the end of February was 117 units, down from 139 at the same point in 2018. This represents a 5.5 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of February was $145,000.
During February, a total of 10 contracts were written down from 15 in February 2018. At the end of the month, there were 13 contracts pending, compared to 18 at the end of February 2019.
