City of Hays Home Sales Fell in March
Total home sales in the City of Hays fell last month to 18 units, compared to 21 units in March 2017. Total sales volume was $3.1 million, down from a year earlier.
The median sale price in March was $157,250, down from $165,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in March were typically on the market for 137 days and sold for 96.1% of their list prices.
City of Hays Active Listings Up at End of March
The total number of active listings in the City of Hays at the end of March was 137 units, up from 126 at the same point in 2017. This represents a 7.6 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of March was $185,000.
During March, a total of 24 contracts were written up from 21 in March 2017. At the end of the month, there were 22 contracts pending, the same amount as the end of March 2017.
